It's best to start your walk on San Sebastian Street, at Ayuntamiento – the yellow town hall was interestingly connected with the remains of the building of the Order of St.. Sebastian, on the site where it was built. The street leads straight to the Andres de Lorenzo Caceres square, the central point of the city, from where you can see a thousand-year-old tree in all its glory. The Church of San Marcos rises among the dense greenery of the square, considered the most important religious building in the area. It houses the Museum of Sacred Art – his treasure is the greatest (2 m in height and 48 kg of weight) in the world, a silver cross made in the filigree technique.

The Plaza de la Constitución right next door is also worth a look, called Pila Beach by the locals. The square is surrounded by beautiful traditional colonial-style buildings. A cobbled street leads to the Parque del Drago. Although the thousand-year-old tree is best seen from the terrace in the square Andres de Lorenzo, persons, who would like to get close to this giant at their fingertips, they should go to the park that surrounds it, where is the reconstruction of the cave inhabited by the Guanches.
